For those of you not in the SF Bay Area, you can hear what they're about here.
Wally multitracks himself in this MP3, over a music bed of.... well, you guess!
    [date: 10.10.08]

  • Al Swearingen
Wally saw "Pillars of the Earth" recently, noting the performance of the great Ian McShane.
He was inspired to reprise Ian's brilliant performance as Al Swearingen - MP3 (93 kB)
...from the classic Western Series "Deadwood".
(Wally had trouble finding a good line that didn't include any $@$%^@!-ing swear words, but finally ran across this gem. Get it? "Gem?")

  • Beatles- John Lennon (mp3, 143k)
Wally's a big fan of the Beatles, and particularly fond of imitating John Lennon.

    [date: 09.12.20]

  • KFJC spot - spoof of "Gensler Lee Diamonds" (mp3, 942k)
This week's bit of inspired idiocy (or is it "insipid"?) is a promo for Radio Station KFJC in Los Altos Hills, California.
Wally recorded this to the tune of the now-infamous promo for "Gensler Lee Diamonds", which plastered the air waves of Top Forty Radio so long ago.
THEN, he included his impression of KFJC's own benevelent / evil Sy Thoth, himself the "Anti-top-40" of DJs. Wally hopes you enjoy!
    [date: 09.03.20]

  • STAR WARS: DARTH VADER IMPRESSION- in four easy steps

  • Jim Ignatowski... "Iggy" from Taxi.
Many know Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmet Brown from "Back to the Future". But before those films, he played a great (ex?)stoner on the classic TV show Taxi.
(You'll need Macromedia Flash player 7.0) (If you don't see anything below, check to see you're online)

WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED if Jim from Taxi had entered the You Tube era?
(The camera work here is pretty aweful.. but that's Jim's fault, not mine!) [date: 08.07.13]

  • "Remember those great 16mm films of yesteryear? Well, these aren't them!"
..so intones Robert Emmett of KFJC, at the intro to every Psychotronix Film Festival, a sort of junkyard collection of wacky film clips, all projected in 16mm.
I recorded this promo for their most recent event, and had the great honor of hearing them play it on the air several times. Must've been a hit!
    KFJC Pycotronix promo MP3 (208k)
    [date: 08.06.07]

  • This one's a treat... several voices I did in '06, for Farsight's Hard Rock Casino.
Voices include "Robin Leechface", a drunkard, a surfer dude, a dumb jock, a sports announcer type, and a snob, and a sort of "Jeremy Davies / Quentin Tarantino guy .
"HARD ROCK CASINO" demo... MP3 (430k)
    [date: 06.08.15]

  • George C. Scott's amazing performance as General 'Buck' Turgidson in Kubrick's classic Doctor Strangelove - the '2001' of comedies!

    [date: 0 5.12.19]

  • SCENE FROM BERGMAN'S "The Seventh Seal"
    .mp3 version ( 100 k)
    .wav version (227 k)
NOW THIS ONE'S just plain silly...
Wally's impression of the opening scene from Ingmar Bergman's "The Seventh Seal".
A soldier coming back from the crusades encounters Death... a creepy, soft spoken, black-hooded figure with a big cape.
    The first lines are...
"Who are you?"..... "I am Death".
What they say after that is anybody's guess, as the film appears to be in Swedish, a language I don't know. This will become obvious as you listen to Wally's attempt at "Pig Swedish"...

    [date: 04.04.03]

  • THE GREAT AND CRUSTY CAROL CHANNING!
    .mp3 version ( 100 k)

  • CHINESE RADIO
    .mp3 version (179 k)
    .wav version (475 k)
Wally Fields has never been Overseas. When you hear his bizarre impression of Chinese Radio, especially his 'fake Chinese language', you'll see proof! Still, good for laughs. [date: 02.11.11]

  • ROBERT SEGAL, NPR NOO-EWS
    .mp3 version (43k)
    .wav version (97k)
Wally Fields has been getting obsessed with 'NPR News' recently, particularly the kindly, Elmer Fudd-type voice of Robert Segal.
(He's been struggling with a cold this week... somehow that just seems to enhance the effect!)
    [date: 02.06.22]

  • ANAKIN SKYWALKER / DARTH VADER
    .mp3 version (34k)
    .wav version (268k)
In honor of Star Wars II: the Clone Wars... this deleted scene from Star Wars I: the Phantom Menace. Anakin Skywalker won't remain that nauseatingly cutesy character forever. Be carefull what you wish for!

  • THE FOUNTAINHEAD, TAKE TWO
Characters from the film The Fountainhead- improved from the previous wave of the week, shown below
Wally was happy with his impression of Howard Roarke's crusty mentor from 'the Fountainhead', but his impression of Roarke himself (Gary Cooper) needed work. Here's Take Two.
    WAV version... (316 k)
    MP3 version... (119 k)
    [date: 02.02.09]

  • THE FOUNTAINHEAD
Characters from the film The Fountainhead
MANY WHO KNOW ME know I'm a fan of Modernist Architecture. Recently saw Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead".
"Fountainhead" is pretty architecturally cool- a marked contrast to the goofy dramatics of the performances.
I was inspired to record the following scene..)
    WAV version... (363 k)
    MP3 version... (137 k)
    [date: 02.01.14]

  • BEATLES
    Goodbye to George Harrison
A FEW YEARS BACK, Wally had the honor of recording for George Harrison
-a sound bite George used at a party for John Phillips
Now that both heroes have passed, it hit Wally pretty hard.
It hit a whole generation pretty hard.
This file is his goodbye to this musical genius.
(John's in the file too... even if one assumes ONE afterlife, doesn't necessarily mean they're on the same cloud!)

    .WAV version (93 k)
    [date: 01.08.29]

  • CHANNING
WEIRD Wally's impression of Carol Channing.
    .MP3 version (33 k) | .WAV version (131 k)

    .WAV part one (337 k) .WAV part two (415 k) [date: 01.08.01]

  • Zulu
AMC just re-broadcasted the great film "Zulu". WEIRD Wally imitates a great character from the film... a big lug of a Welsh warrior, looks like he could tear your face off. But he fawns over a dying calf like a doting mother.
    .MP3 version (33 k) | .WAV version (131 k)
    [date: 01.06.13]

    [date: 01.05.20]

  • Yoda
One of WEIRD Wally's fans is not right-in-the-head, psychologically. Almost as deranged as the bizarre subject of this website!
This entity sent the "Wavamaker" an order that was so sick, yet so FUN to record, WIERD Wally just couldn't help but feature it as the current Wave of the week.
    .MP3 version (27 k) | .WAV version (106 k)
    [date: 01.04.15]

  • TITANIC ... GLORIA STUART
    The Old Rose (revisited) (27k)
Saw Titanic for the 3rd time recently- every time I cringed at the disaster movie qualities of the film, I'd get a little break in the form of the brilliant Gloria Stuart, who I felt should have won the Oscar, but she handled her loss with grace.
